1. When does the program start?

Youth can join the program at any time.

2. What makes the Youth Directions mentoring programs unique?

There are three main aspects of the Youth Directions program that makes it unique.
A. We focus on quality more than quantity. This means that each at-risk youth that we take on we remain with until they reach success in the object of their creative passions.
B. The three-step passion seeking program was created especially for this program and is not used elsewhere.
C. Youth Directions mentors are a part of our staff so that youth know that their mentors and the program are committed to them and are here exclusively for them as their priority.

3. How long do they meet for?

Each coaching session lasts, approximately, between an hour and an hour and a half.

4. Where do the students meet?

They often meet at our office in Aurora, Colorado. Other times they meet at their schools--it depends on how Youth Directions has set up the particular relationship with the referring agency.

5. Are you providing transportation?

In some cases transportation provided by Youth Directions.

6. Is this program modeled after other similar programs done elsewhere?

Our program is unique and cutting-edge. As far as we know, this is currently the only program of its kind in the USA.

7. I know a young person who would benefit from the Youth Directions program. How can he or she enroll in the program?

We accept students who are motivated to find their own unique, positive purpose and passion in life and who wish to make long-term goals based on them. Having parents who are supportive greatly helps with this process. Call our office to find out how to enroll your youth in the program.

8. I love your program. How can I get involved, donate money or volunteer?

We are always looking for more volunteers. You can help by becoming a mentor or by donating your car, money, stocks, or bonds to Youth Directions. Please contact us if you are interested in being involved in any way.

9. How much do mentees need to pay to join the program?

It costs Youth Directions, on average, one thousand dollars for each youth that goes through our process. We negotiate cost depending on the needs and ability to pay, particular to each referral agency or parent or guardian. We do, however, provide the program free of charge to many underprivileged and at-risk youth.
